About Maths Modelled

A clearer way to see and teach primary maths.

Maths Modelled creates visual tools, teacher resources and structured courses that make mathematical relationships easier to see, discuss and use.

Our purpose

Expert primary maths made visible.

Understanding is supported when learners can see how an idea is structured, connect that structure to symbols and language, and then practise using it with increasing independence.

See

Representations reveal relationships instead of merely decorating a page or screen.

Connect

Models, mathematical language, notation and methods are designed to work together.

Use

Teaching tools and courses move from explanation towards purposeful practice and independence.

Confidence through process

Quality comes from how each resource is built and checked

Maths Modelled uses a consistent product process in place of personal-authority claims.

Curriculum-aware design

Resources are shaped around primary maths content, progression and the purpose of the lesson or practice.

Shared mathematical models

Registered visual models are reused across tools and resources so the same ideas remain consistent.

Checked mathematics

Worked examples, questions, answers and explanations are checked as part of the product review.

Accessible, responsive review

Pages and models are reviewed for keyboard use, readable layouts and useful behaviour across common screen sizes.

Research-informed choices

Design decisions draw on mathematics-education guidance and evidence about representations, practice and inclusive teaching.

Teacher judgement remains important

No resource knows a class or child as a teacher does. The model supports professional decisions; it does not replace them.

A shared visual language

The same mathematical idea should look and behave consistently

Maths Modelled keeps a catalogue of reusable visual models: number lines, place-value equipment, fraction representations, calculation layouts and other structures. A tool or course calls on the appropriate shared model instead of drawing a new version each time.

This helps representations stay mathematically consistent, makes accessibility descriptions easier to review and allows improvements to benefit more than one resource.

Interaction is added only when it helps someone notice a relationship, test an example or explain their thinking.

Designed to complement the curriculum

Use Maths Modelled alongside the primary maths scheme your school follows, including White Rose Maths.
