Someone has made a mistake in the working. A correct answer can still have faulty working.
- Read the original calculation and inspect every line and label.
- Select every faulty part by tapping it in the model or choosing its labelled button. Choose it again to undo your selection. Keyboard users can Tab to a button and press Space or Enter.
- Choose Check mistakes. After you find every error, solve the original calculation on paper, enter your correct answer and choose Check answer.
- Explain what went wrong. Reveal correction shows the correct working and explains each mistake. Revealing before solving does not add to Solved.
- New card randomly chooses an unused calculation and keeps your calculation, mistake and difficulty settings. Clear empties your response on the same card. Restart restores Long division, One mistake and Standard difficulty, clears Solved and starts a fresh card.
Hint points you towards a checking strategy. There is no timer. Several mistakes may include a faulty answer and faulty working steps. Mixed includes addition, subtraction, multiplication and long division.
Easy uses smaller numbers, Standard uses larger numbers, and Hard uses four-digit numbers and more demanding divisors or multipliers. Difficulty and the number of mistakes can be changed separately.
Share this setup starts fresh practice with the same settings. Fullscreen gives the model more space. Your browser’s Print action prints the displayed working on one side of A4 landscape.
