Use place value to divide by 10, 100 and 1,000.
- Build the starting number in the top row, then choose Check start.
- Build its result in the lower row, then choose Check. Put digits in the correct columns and keep zero placeholders. Unused leading columns can stay empty.
- For Missing start, the result is given. Work backwards and build the missing starting number in the top row.
- Hint gives a clue. Reveal shows the correct digit movement. A correct answer earns one point if you have not used support or made an incorrect check.
- Next card keeps the chosen settings and gives a fresh calculation. Repeated ÷ 10 replays each operation in order.
- Practice has ten cards. Teams take three turns each; the highest score wins and equal scores tie. There is no timer. Discuss each calculation with a partner or use whiteboards before checking together.
Controls: Clear removes the row you are building. New game clears scores and starts fresh cards with the same settings. Changing a setting starts a new game. Print current display prints this board on one A4 landscape side.
Keyboard and touch: tap a cell for the shared number pad, or use number keys and Backspace. Left and Right move between digit cells; Tab moves through the controls. HTh, TTh, Th, H, T and O mean hundred thousands, ten thousands, thousands, hundreds, tens and ones.
