Choose Play, or take one short step at a time in Think and prove.
- Begin with Starter set (11 cards), or choose All 16 cards for larger fractions and mixed numbers. Play alone, together, or in two to four teams.
- Tap the button between the cards to cycle through greater than (>), less than (<) and equal to (=). In Play, choose your symbol, then Check. A correct first decision earns one point. If it is wrong, use the prompt or Hint and try again. Correcting it earns no point. Show strategy explains the card after your first check.
- In Think and prove, choose your symbol and press Prove it. Answer one short question or enter one new numerator or denominator. Check step, read the working, then continue. Hint helps you begin; Show me shows only the current step.
- After proving, tap the middle button to compare again. You can change your first choice. Points still count your first decision; the end summary counts proofs with and without help separately.
- With equal numerators, the same number of pieces is taken. A smaller denominator means bigger pieces from the same-sized whole. Compare different whole parts first when that is easier. When whole parts are equal, compare the remaining fractions.
- Show model opens a worked explanation. Suitable cards show fraction bars; larger or denser cards use readable number working. Any Show model, Hint or Show me used in Think and prove counts as help. Teams alternate after each completed card. Spoken explanations are discussed, not automatically marked.
- New game keeps your settings and deals a fresh arrangement. Restart this deal replays the current arrangement with progress cleared. Changing a setting begins a fresh game.
- Share this setup includes only your mode, card choice and player count. A shared link opens a fresh unsolved game. Print prints the current display on one A4 landscape page; face-down cards stay hidden.
- Use Tab to move between controls and Enter or Space to activate them. There is no timer.
- Opened from a curriculum step? The label above the choices shows your step. New game keeps the cards matched to that learning.
