Common Factor Sort

Work together to find every factor of the two numbers. Factors of both numbers belong once in the overlap.

  1. In Find and sort, enter a factor and choose where it belongs. In Sort supplied cards, sort the cards in the tray.
  2. Drag, or tap a number and choose a named region. Press Check when ready.
  3. Correct the marked numbers and find any missing factors. Hint suggests a factor-pair strategy; Reveal becomes available after Check and records the round as shown.
  4. Discuss the common factors, then Draw next card. The deck contains eight different pairs; Play again starts another game.

Keyboard: Space or Enter picks up a card; arrows choose a region; Space or Enter places it; Escape cancels. Delete or Backspace removes a typed number or returns a supplied card to the tray. Undo reverses an addition, removal or move. Clear board removes the current working and retracts that round’s solved/shown result, keeping the same pair.

Settings chooses the response style, the eight-card deck or your own pair from 2 to 100. A chosen pair makes a one-round game. Changing settings starts a fresh game; confirm before replacing current working.

There is no timer. Solved counts completed rounds; Shown counts revealed rounds. Share this setup opens a fresh unsolved game with the same settings. Print prints the current board on one A4 landscape side. Fullscreen enlarges the game; Home returns to Interactive Tools.
