How to use Array Builder

Use the plus and minus buttons on the right to change the rows and columns.
Choose Counters or Squares. Squares build the array from equal tiles inside a rectangle.
Choose Multiplication or Division. For division, choose Sharing or Grouping so the language matches the array.
Watch the array, product, turnaround fact and related division fact update.
Tap the first row or first column to turn that counting guide blue. Tap it again to return it to red.
Use New Question at the top of the right-hand controls to ask pupils to build a fresh multiplication fact.
Press Check when the shown array matches the question.
Print creates four copies of the current array on one A4 portrait page.

Use the tool to show that 3 × 4 and 4 × 3 have the same product, and to connect rows and columns with both meanings of division.
